I lead and manage Growth and Payments teams, promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practices, advise start-ups, and formerly built software to support various backend systems (event pipelines, communication platforms, payments, experimentation and data warehousing).

I'm currently an Engineering Manager at Webflow, leading the Growth team. Previously, I've led teams at Fast, Quibi, GoFundMe, and worked at other early stager start-ups.

I'm a proud immigrant (born and raised in Peru πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ͺ), first generation college grad (MIT 🦫), coffee addict β˜•οΈ, and salsa/reggaeton/hip-hop head 🎧.

  • Revamped payments processing services to deliver a unified experience across GoFundMe products reducing redundancy by a factor of two and decoupling from payment provider to facilitate transition to use other providers
  • Delivered Charity Search service that reduced search time 20x (3s to <150ms), decoupled search from an external provider, and added full-text search
  • Responsible for onboarding 2 engineers and mentoring as they ramped up their contributions to the payments systems
  • Delivered revamped infrastructure cookbooks (terraform + ansible) and simplified continuous delivery for payments services
